NTSB Preliminary Narrative (6120.19A)



On June 27, 2001, at 1500 central daylight time, a Cessna 150L, N5292Q, sustained substantial damage during a partial power landing in a field

near Randolph, Kansas. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The personal flight was operating under the

provisions of 14 CFR Part 91 and was not on a flight plan. The pilot, the sole occupant, was not injured. The local flight departed the Manhattan

Regional Airport, Manhattan, Kansas at approximately 1100.



According to the pilot, during the flight the engine began to run rough and the pilot executed a forced landing to a nearby field. During landing roll

the aircraft encountered a ditch and was substantially damaged.
