April 11, 2001 Letter from Cessna Aircraft Company to the FAA

Obtained through FOIA, this letter summarizes Cessna's water contamination test performed on the Model 172R/172S. The letter also indicates that a test for the Model 172P is planned. Cessna also requests the FAA agreement with findings.

April 11, 2001 Letter from the FAA to Cessna Aircraft Company

Obtained through FOIA, this letter issues the FAA's agreement with Cessna's test findings described in an April 11, 2000 Cessna letter to the FAA.

September 14, 2000 Letter from Cessna Aircraft Company to the FAA 

Obtained through FOIA, this letter is an overview of the Cessna/FAA Integral Tank Water Contamination Test Action Plan meeting held September 13, 2000. In addition to the test plan itself, the letter includes the persons in attendance and the duties of each of those persons and/or agencies regarding the test plan of the Model 172R. FAA's concurrence is requested.

September 21, 2000 Letter from Cessna Aircraft Company to the FAA

Obtained through FOIA, this letter outlines changes made to the Test Plan of the Model 172R that came about in a September 20, 2000 meeting between Cessna and FAA representatives. FAA concurrence with the changes is requested.

September 22, 2000 Letter from Cessna Aircraft Company to the FAA

Obtained through FOIA, this letter is a submittal to the FAA of the combined initiative of the September 13, 2000 and September 20, 2000 meetings concerning a test plan for the Model 172R. FAA's concurrence is requested.

September 27, 2000 Letter from Cessna Aircraft Company to the FAA

Obtained through FOIA, this letter expresses Cessna's concerns that the combined meetings to create a Test Plan for the Model 172R has not effectively satisfied all involved. Cessna proposes a more prudent meeting type between Cessna and FAA representatives to consider a final Test Plan. FAA concurrence is requested.

October 20, 2000 Letter from Cessna Aircraft Company to the FAA

Obtained through FOIA, this letter requests written approval from the FAA for Cessna to proceed with test plan setup agreed upon in a previous Cessna/FAA meeting.

October 24, 2000 Letter from Cessna Aircraft Company to the FAA

Obtained through FOIA, this letter confirms the FAA's requested changes to the test plan, offered in an October 20, 2000 letter to the FAA, would be incorporated into the Revision of this plan and resubmitted.

October 25, 2000 Letter from Cessna Aircraft Company to the FAA

Obtained through FOIA, this letter resubmits a test plan that includes all revisions requested by Cessna and the FAA as discussed in letters dated October 20 & 24, 2000 to the FAA. FAA written approval is requested for Cessna to proceed with test plan setup.

October 31, 2000 Letter from the FAA to Cessna Aircraft Company

Obtained through FOIA, this letter offers FAA written approval of Cessna's submitted test plan in a October 25, 2000 letter to the FAA.
