December 10, 1999 Scovill Letter to ERAU

Robert E. Scovill JR followed the news on all of the above topics and in December 1999, he submitted this letter to the President of ERAU.

January 18, 2000 FAA Letter to ERAU

Obtained through FOIA:

Robert Lee Cunningham--FSDO; Orlando, Florida--is the Primary Maintenance Inspector of ERAU. A few days after submitting this letter of concern to ERAU's Chancellor he (Mr. Cunningham) was coincidentally available in Nashville, Tennessee on January 21, 2000. Mr. Cunningham took advantage of the opportunity to attend the test performed on aircraft number 17274599 on that day in nearby Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

February 23, 2000 ERAU's Response to the FAA

Airworthiness Directives; "Cessna Aircraft Company Models 172R and 172S Airplanes

DATES: This AD becomes effective on April 20, 2001. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) must receive any comments on this rule on or before May 18, 2001."
