Indexes

Below are links to index pages that contain several NTSB aircraft accident reports for the period 1962 to 1982 involving Cessna 150 model aircraft and Cessna 152 model aircraft. These reports are indexed by the given categories and linked from the corresponding index page to NTSB's online database.

When reviewing reports involving Cessna aircraft models manufactured from 1946 to 1974, keep in mind that during that period Cessna general aviation models did not have sump drains. Furthermore, these models were not outfitted with sump drains unitl the release of Service Information Letter SE79-45 dated September 10, 1979, which announced the availability of Accessory Kits to install fuel quick drains on aircraft manufactured between 1946 through 1974.

Thus, starting in the period 1974-1975, new Cessna general aviation aircraft came with sump drains installed (and new preflight procedures). Therefore, when reviewing NTSB aircraft accident reports, if an accident involves a Cessna aircraft model manufactured between 1946 through 1974 and the accident occurred in or before 1979, then the aircraft did not have sump drains.

Note: These reports were not included in the NTSB petition.
